Dundee United boss Craig Levein has refused to comment on reports he is keen on bringing former Everton striker Danny Cadamarteri to Tannadice.Levein watched the 29-year-old - who he previously signed while in charge of Leicester - playing for Huddersfield against Carlisle on Monday. The United manager is in the market for a frontman after Jon Daly was ruled out for a year with a cruciate ligament injury.Cadamarteri, an ex-England Under-21 international, is out of contract at the end of the season and would be available for free. But Levein said in the Evening Telegraph: "I'm not going to comment on speculation."It was the same last year when we were being linked with this player and that player and, to be honest, it drove me nuts. When we have any news, the fans can rest assured, I'll let them know."Levein brought Cadamarteri to Leicester in 2007 after the player had served a six-month ban from the game for failing a drugs test.Cadamarteri, who has been plagued by injuries throughout his career, has scored just twice this season in 33 appearances for League One Huddersfield.[LNB]
