Everton defender Joleon Lescott has called on his side to try and secure a crucial victory at Aston Villa to boost their hopes of clinching a UEFA Cup spot.
The 24-year-old centre-back has impressed since his summer switch from Wolves, even when forced into emergency service at left-back due to injuries.
However, he now wants the Toffees to continue the good work in the closing weeks of the season, following on from their 1-0 win over Arsenal last time out.
He told the club's official website: "I think it was very important that we got a result from that game because it keeps the pressure on the people above.
"They've got to keep winning to keep the pressure on us, so we're confident going into the last eight games and hopefully we can get a few more results before the end of the season.
"You look at a club like Everton and they deserve to be playing in Europe, so if we can achieve that this season then we'll be more than happy."
