Lescott absent again as Everton go down in Blackpool, plus all Tuesday's friendly action

An Everton side without defender Joleon Lescott lost 2-1 to Blackpool in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday night. With Manchester City target Lescott held out with a slight injury amid reports he wants to leave Goodison Park, Everton fell behind to a David Vaughan goal after only five minutes.   Brazilian striker Jo, on loan from City, levelled the scores with a close-range effort in the 19th minute, although he would later limp off to add to David Moyes' worries. Blackpool scored what proved to be the winner a little after the half-hour mark when Jason Euell raced down the left before firing past Howard.   Bolton and Hearts played to a 1-1 draw at Tynecastle with Christian Nade's strike cancelling out Fabrice Muamba's second-half goal.   After a slow first half, Muamba put Bolton ahead with a fine finish from Johan Elmander's pass, but Nade equalised almost immediately with a powerful close-range strike.   Frazier Campbell scored on his Sunderland debut as two late goals lifted the Black Cats to a 2-0 win at Peterborough.  After a frustrating night in front of goal, Sunderland eventually found a way through as the game moved into the final 10 minutes when David Healy's cross was turned in by the unfortunate Daniel Blanchett for an own goal. Three minutes later, Campbell was flattened by Sam Gaughran, and then stepped up to score the penalty.   George Friend, Andrew Keogh and Greg Halford got on the scoresheet as Wolves were made to work in a 4-2 win at Scunthorpe. Friend's opener was cancelled out by Kevan Hurst and Grant McCann drew Scunthorpe level for a second time following Keogh's effort, but Halford's late brace eventually won it for Wolves. A strong Birmingham line-up went down 4-1 to Crewe at Gresty Road as they suffered something of a second-half collapse. With new signings Joe Hart, Roger Johnson and Barry Ferguson joined by the likes of James McFadden, Garry O'Connor and Cameron Jerome, Birmingham lost control of a game they had led through McFadden's 17th-minute strike.   Steven Schumacher volleyed Crewe level before the break, and second-half goals from Franck Queudrue (own goal), Joel Grant and Mathew Mitchel-King sank the Blues.
