Leeds deny Delph deal

Leeds United have denied reports that starlet Fabien Delph is poised to leave the club and join Everton. Reports had claimed that The Toffees had won the battle to sign the England Under-21 midfield star ahead of the likes of Manchester United, Fulham and Sunderland who have all been strongly linked with him in recent months. But Leeds - who look to have a battle to keep Delph after again failing to gain promotion from League One - insist no deal is in place. "Despite the speculation, there have been no offers for Fab since the end of the season," Leeds chief executive Shaun Harvey said. "At this stage of the year speculation is always rife, although it's never helpful."
