Leeds demand compensation after Everton sign starlet
Leeds have confirmed that academy starlet Luke Garbutt has left the club to join Premier League side Everton.
The 16-year-old left-back has been linked repeatedly with a move toGoodison Park in recent weeks and the Whites have now confirmed themove.
A statement on the clubs official website said: 'Leeds United madethe player an exceptional offer to join the club initially as a scholarand then as a professional player.
'We're disappointed that the player chose to join Everton.
'Leeds United are entitled to compensation and will also look into the circumstances surrounding his move.'
