Journeyman Marcus Bent set for Birmingham exit after Alex McLeish tells him to find a new club

Birmingham City striker Marcus Bent has been told by manager Alex McLeish to find himself a new club.

Bent, 32, who cost Birmingham £1m from Charlton in July 2008, has been on-loan at Wolves since August.

'Marcus Bent knows that he does not have a future at Birmingham and he will be trying to get a new club in January,' said McLeish.

Bent, who had had 14 clubs in his career, comes to the end of his loan spell at Wolves next month.

He has not played for Birmingham since April 2009.
