    Johnson eyes top-four spot

    05 Dec 2006 - 11:20:13

Everton striker Andrew Johnson believes David Moyes' side are good enough to clinch a top-four position this season and win a place in next season's Champions League.

The Toffees finished fourth in the 20045-05 campaign only to lose in the final qualifying stage of Europe's premier competition to Villarreal.

Although Manchester United and Chelsea are already well clear of the rest of the Premiership, only one point separates third-placed Arsenal and Bolton who are currently ninth.

Everton are seventh and Johnson sees no reason why they cannot go on to challenge for a top-four place in the second half of the season.

He told the club's official website: "We're talking about the Champions League. We want to stay in there.

"We've got more than enough (talent) in the dressing room to be there.

"This is a massive club and we've got massive ambitions.

"We want to be in the top six - the team was there two years ago and there was a massive buzz around the city."
