Johnny Heitinga hints at Everton exit

ShareEverton defender Johnny Heitinga has admitted he is prepared to ditch the Goodison Park club in search of European football. [LNB]Heitinga has become a regular for David Moyes' side following his ?6million transfer from Atletico Madrid in 2009, but has become frustrated at the lack of European action. [LNB]The former Ajax star was a member of the Holland team which was defeated in the World Cup final by Spain and has conceded he may have play domestic football elsewhere to match his ambitions. [LNB] European dream: Heitinga has lofty ambitions, not currently being met by Everton[LNB]Heitinga, 27, said: 'I can honestly say I feel annoyed at having the day off when I'm on the couch watching Champions League football on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.[LNB]'It's the same on Thursdays with the Europa League. European football is a big miss for me.[LNB]'Everton is a genuine big people's club. The atmosphere at Goodison is unrivalled, and I'm playing in a fantastic league.[LNB] Going Dutch: Heitinga is a regular for his country but would rather forget the World Cup final where he was shown red [LNB] 'But I am ruling nothing out this summer.
