Everton defender John Heitinga has aimed a dig at boss David Moyes after the Scot left him out of the side that lost to West Brom.

The Dutchman was disappointed to have to watch his team lose 2-0 to West Bromwich from the sidelines, and has told Moyes that he doesn't expect to be sat on the bench for much longer. Not happy: John Heitinga is irritated that he has not started a Premier League game this season

Heitinga, who was voted the Toffees' player of the season last year, is yet to start a Premier League game under Moyes this campaign. The 28-year-old centre half criticised Moyes as he prepares to play in Holland's international match against Turkey. He said: 'I’ve felt better reporting for international duty.

The Everton boss’ decisions feels bad.'It’s a bullet I must bite every year. I was also left out for most of our early games in the two previous seasons.'But I was soon in the side. I don’t expect to wait long to get into the starting line-up.' Away day: Heitinga is currently with the Dutch national team as they prepare to face Turkey
