Jo - Good to be back

Brazilian striker Jo believes he has a foundation to build upon after re-joining Everton on a season-long loan from Manchester City.[LNB] The 22-year-old spent the second half of last season at Goodison Park after struggling to live up to expectations after City had paid CSKA Moscow £18million in July 2008.[LNB]Everton were keen to sign Jo on a permanent basis after he netted five goals in 12 Premier League appearances for the Toffees but they were unable to meet the frontman's valuation, leading boss David Moyes to opt for a longer loan deal.[LNB]The three-time Brazil cap is now hoping that he can hit the ground running on Merseyside as he will not need time to adapt to new surroundings.[LNB]He told Everton's official website: "I'm really happy to be here. It's all happened quite quickly but I'm pleased.[LNB]"I really enjoyed my time here last season and I hope I can build on that.[LNB]"Obviously, I know everybody and how the club works so that helps. [LNB]"I've got the whole season to do that so I'm focused on having a good pre-season and preparing myself for the season ahead."[LNB]
