January reward for Moyes

Everton's David Moyes has won the Premier League Manager of the Month award for January.

The Toffees enjoyed a fine run of form last month, rising into the top half of the table after a slow start to the new season.

Moyes' side won three and drew one in the Premier League last month, starting off with a 2-2 at Arsenal, where they conceded a last-minute equaliser.

The Toffees then secured 2-0 victories at home to both Manchester City and Sunderland, before rounding off the month with a 1-0 win at Wigan Athletic.

Moyes told the club's official website: "I would like to thank Barclays and the Premier League for this award, but it is for the players really because they have done really well throughout the month of January."
