Jags reveals injury anguish

Phil Jagielka has admitted he cried uncontrollably when he learned that he would miss the FA Cup final.[LNB] The Everton defender was stretchered off after picking up a knee injury during Saturday's 2-1 defeat at home to Manchester City.[LNB]Club physio Mike Rathbone later announced that Jagielka had ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and would not play again this season.[LNB]Having scored the winning spot-kick in Everton's semi-final victory over Manchester United, Jagielka was distraught to be ruled out of the showpiece against Chelsea.[LNB]"I was crying and I couldn't control it. I couldn't see my friends or my family because I felt myself fill up," he said in The Sun.[LNB]"One minute I would be fine making jokes and the next I would be crying my eyes out.[LNB]"I went for the scan straight away because I wouldn't have slept. After that they knew there was a gap where my cruciate was supposed to be."[LNB]Jagielka concedes it will be difficult to watch his team-mates from the sidelines at Wembley. [LNB]He added: "It won't be a nice feeling but I've played a decent part in getting us to the final - and I know I'll be there to see us lift the cup."[LNB]
