Defender Phil Jagielka is determined to bounce back from the heartache of missing a penalty in
Everton's UEFA Cup disappointment.
Jagielka missed a spot-kick as the Toffees were knocked out of the Europe by Italian side Fiorentina on Wednesday.
Everton had overturned a 2-0 first-leg deficit to draw level before the late drama at Goodison Park.
But the Merseysiders travel to Fulham on Sunday and Jagielka is hoping for a response from his wounded team-mates with fourth place in the Premier League and Champions League football still within their grasp.
"I am a little bit gutted at missing the penalty, but I will come back with my head held high," he told EvertonTV.
"The boys have had a little taste of Europe and I'm sure if we get in the UEFA Cup or the Champions League we will go one step further than this year.
"We will pick ourselves up now as we have a massive game on Sunday and hopefully we can consolidate our push for a European place next season."
