Jacobsen keen on Toffees stay

Lars Jacobsen would prefer to stay at Everton, according to the defender's agent. Jacobsen signed a one-year deal at Goodison Park after leaving Nurnberg last summer but he suffered a long-term injury shortly after the transfer. The Denmark international has since returned to fitness and has made five Premier League appearances to date. Toffees boss David Moyes recently hinted he could hand Jacobsen fresh terms, and the player's representative has confirmed the 29-year-old would be keen to strike an agreement. "There is interest from other clubs, but Lars' first option would be to stay at Everton," Karsten Aabrink told the club's official website. "He feels he has returned to the level he was at before the injury and he is pleased with how David Moyes has treated him. "I think the situation is positive. We have close contact with Everton and we probably have a meeting around the FA Cup final and take it from there."
