Lars Jacobsen is hoping to be offered a new contract by Everton this summer. The Denmark international penned a one-year deal with the Toffees following his arrival as a free agent in August 2008. His debut campaign in England did not go entirely to plan, with injuries severely hindering his progress. He was forced to wait until 21st March before making his Premier League debut, but did go on to feature in four more top flight fixtures. Jacobsen was also awarded a second half run out in Saturday's FA Cup final against Chelsea, and hopes he has done enough to persuade David Moyes he is worthy of an extension to his current terms. "I want to stay but my contract is running down so I will have to wait and see if the club will offer me anything," he told the Daily Star. "I don't know what the future holds after the summer. "However, I love the club and I would like to stay."
