Jacobsen considers his future

ars Jacobsen admits his desire to play regular football could see him depart Everton this summer. The Danish defender signed a 12-month contract with the Toffees in August 2008, but has endured a difficult debut season in England. Injuries curtailed his early progress, while he has been unable to force his way into the fold since returning to full fitness. He was on the bench for Everton's 2-0 victory over West Brom on Saturday, but remained a spectator for the entire 90 minutes. David Moyes overlooked him despite seeing Tony Hibbert pick up a first-half injury at Goodison Park, a decision which has only served to heighten Jacobsen's frustration. "I want to play for a club where I get to play regularly and if that wont happen here, then it will have to be somewhere else," the Denmark international told sporten.tv2.dk. "That doesn't mean that I want to leave. I am going to give my best, but we will have to see what happens. "It's been five games now that I haven't played (after being named as a substitute), but I accept that we have a good team. "I will take things easy until the summer and what happens then will happen. But then I need to start playing games."
