Jack Rodwell has praised David Moyes' forward thinking after reaping the benefits of being pushed into a more attacking role by the Everton manager.

Midfielder Rodwell, who can also play in defence, has been instrumental in the Toffees' recent run of good form and was on target in wins over Manchester United and Hull before setting up Mikel Arteta to score in the victory over Manchester City.

'Its good and I'm happy to play anywhere out on the pitch for the team,' the 19-year-old told the Liverpool Echo. 'The gaffer has given me bit more licence to get forward which I'm enjoying at the moment.

'Its all good experience for me. I've played defensive midfield for most of the season and for a couple of seasons before that I was a centre-half.

'Its hard to believe Ive gone from that to attacking midfield now. I'm enjoying it thoroughly.

'Ive been getting in the box a bit more and getting a few goals. Its all about getting in the right position which Ive been working on in training.'
