Total recall: Jagielka is set for a return to Fabio Capello's England side to face Spain next month Phil Jagielka is in line for an England recall after taming Fernando Torres in front of national boss Fabio Capello in Sunday's Merseyside derby at Anfield. Capello is preparing to name his squad to face Spain in Seville next month and Jagielka can expect to win his second cap as reward for an outstanding run of form at the heart of Everton's defence. Just as in the 1-1 Barclays Premier League draw with Liverpool the previous weekend, Jagielka hardly put a foot wrong as he helped his side to an FA Cup fourth-round replay after another 1-1 deadlock. Capello looked on from the directors' box and was sufficiently impressed to pencil the Manchester- born 26-year-old centre back into his plans for the February 11 clash with Spain. Initially used in midfield by manager David Moyes, Jagielka struggled to justify the£4million fee Everton paid Sheffield United for him, but he flourished after being switched to the centre of defence. He made his England debut as a substitute in the 3-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago last June.   More...
