Hull v Everton preview

Diniyar Bilyaletdinov is set to return for Everton when they take on Hull in the Carling Cup. The Russian missed the Toffees' 3-0 victory over Blackburn on Sunday and is expected to shake off a groin injury in time for Wednesday's clash at the KC Stadium. David Moyes has no new injury concerns for the game against the Tigers, and is expected to put out a strong side in a bid to progress into the fourth round. New signing Lucas Neill may play a part in the match after his recent move, while striker Louis Saha is likely to continue in attack. Assistant manager Steve Round said: "We'll go to Hull with a strong squad. It will be the same squad that has been involved in the last two games. "He (David Moyes) has not picked the team yet, but whatever team we put out it will be a strong team." Hull will be looking to throw the formbook out of the window if they are going to get a result against the Blues. Everton come into the game on the back of the comfortable win over Blackburn and a 4-0 demolition of AEK Athens, while Phil Brown's side have suffered two successive defeats. However, the return of George Boateng could provide them with the boost that they need and Craig Fagan may come back in to the fold after missing out against Birmingham. City are expected to make changes for the cup clash - with assistant Brian Horton revealing that places are up for grabs for the weekend trip to Liverpool - and youngsters Liam Cooper, Nick Featherstone and Tom Cairney may be named in the squad.
