Howard's red card relief

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard admits he was fortunate not to have been sent off against Wolves at the weekend. The America international was booked after getting involved in a clash with Wolves striker Stefan Maierhofer during the 1-1 draw between the sides at Goodison Park. The Austrian was dismnissed for his part in the altercation for a second bookable offence and Howard was relieved he only received a yellow card . "I thought it would probably be yellow. But when you do something stupid like that then you leave it up to someone else to make the decision," Howard told the club's official website. "Thankfully the referee (Stuart Attwell) had a level head and didn't send me off."
