Howard issues United warning

Everton's on loan goalkeeper Tim Howard has warned his Manchester United team-mates that they will have to be at their best to beat the Toffees when the sides meet at Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Howard - on a year's loan at Goodison Park from United - is ineligible to take his place between the sticks for the Merseysiders but that hasn't prevented the USA international from looking forward to the clash.

He said: "I'm disappointed that I cannot play in this one, but I'm also excited by the occasion because I know we will be up for the challenge.

"Everton certainly will not be rolling over.

"I was on the other side of the game in the last three years and it's a fixture that Everton are always up for."
