Holloway happy as Toffees come unstuck

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway hailed his side after they beat Merseyside giants Everton 2-1 ahead of their season opener at QPR on Saturday. Goals from David Vaughan and Jason Euell gave the Seasiders victory and Holloway will aim to further bolster his squad ahead of the weekend. Signing Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam on a permanent deal was a huge boost to the Lancashire outfit but Holloway wants more new faces. He said: "Obviously beating Everton pleased me but it doesn't matter because we got nothing for it. "We could do with a good start on Saturday but I need to get the group moving forward, I need to add in the right places and I need to try to take my time."
