Harris vows to find right deal
14 Oct 2008 - 11:55:32
Keith Harris has pledged to find the right custodian for Everton as the head of the investment bank charged with finding a buyer for the Merseyside club.
Harris is the chairman of investment bank Seymour Pierce and is currently involved in the potential sales of both the Toffees and their Premier League rivals Newcastle United.
Everton chairman Bill Kenwright admitted at the club's recent EGM concerning their proposed move to a new stadium at Kirkby that he would step aside should the right takeover deal for the club come along.
"Bill is passionately clear it is going to be someone who really does care for Everton in the future," said Harris.
"Bill has been very straightforward. First and foremost he is the most enormous Everton fan.
"It is not going to be hot money or people who want to do all sorts of strange things with it.
"It is somebody who is going to carry on the tradition."
