Fulham manager Roy Hodgson is setting his sights high as his club prepare for next season's Europa League - and has turned to Italy to strengthen his forward line. The Cottagers finished a best-ever seventh in the top flight just one year after avoiding relegation on the final day of the season and Hodgson is looking to bring in some big names in a bid to confirm the club's place among the Premier League elite. And top of his hit list appears to be Inter striker Robert Acquafresca. The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at Cagliari where he netted 14 goals in 36 Serie A appearances last season. Italian champions bought Acquafresca a year ago from Cagliari but agreed to loan him back to them and although he said at the time it was his dream to pull on the famous blue and black shirt, he revealed he would find a switch to London equally as appealing. He told The Times: 'Fulham called me, I might try to go abroad.' Acquafresca is a proven goalscorer in the Italian League with 35 goals in 111 games for Cagliari and Treviso as well as six for the Italian under-21 side. He even netted against Inter when the sides met in January. Hodgson has also put out feelers for two established Premier League players, J? Manchester City and Tottenham's Jamie O'Hara. Brazil striker J?gned City for £18m a year ago but was loaned out to Everton after just nine games while midfielder O'Hara is recovering from knee surgery and could be sacrificed by manager Harry Redknapp as he looks to rebuild his squad at White Hart Lane.
