Fellaini secures Moyes praise
30 Oct 2008 - 09:21:15
Everton manager David Moyes was relieved to see his side clinch a 1-0 victory in the final minute of their Premier League trip to Bolton Wanderers.
Marouane Fellaini headed home Steven Pienaar's cross in the dying seconds at the Reebok Stadium, as the Toffees backed up their draw with Manchester United with a three-point haul.
"I didn't see the goal coming because it was a game littered with mistakes," Moyes admitted.
"I even thought when Marouane headed it that it was going to bounce out, but he's done it again.
"He was good when he came here. I think we've signed an up and coming star of the future. If you ask anybody in Belgium, they will tell you exactly what they think of him.
"He's doing well in a lot of ways, carrying us along with his goals, when we should be helping him along, so we need to give him a lot of credit just now.
"Hopefully the centre-forwards and Tim Cahill can now get their fair share of goals as well."
