Fellaini - We aren't inferior

Marouane Fellaini is confident Everton can overcome Chelsea in the FA Cup final on Saturday because they have already proven they can beat the best. The Toffees have endured a difficult run to the final having defeated the likes of Liverpool, Aston Villa and Manchester United en route to Wembley. It is those successes that the £15million midfielder says have given the squad the belief that they can go on and claim the famous trophy for the first time since 1995 when a Paul Rideout goal was enough to see off Manchester United. Back then the Toffees were considered massive underdogs - as is the case now - but the Belgian midfielder insists he does not see his side as inferior to Chelsea. "We've already beaten the best team in the country and probably Europe - Man United - in the semi-finals, so of course we can win," he told Zoo. "We've had a very tough route playing Aston Villa and Liverpool as well. We know how good Chelsea are and after going out of Europe they will want to win some silverware this season. "But we are confident in our ability and will be giving it everything we have." Fellaini also adds that manager David Moyes is the main reason behind the side's success this season with all the players wanting to play for him. "He is a very intelligent man and all the players enjoy playing for him," he highlighted. "That's the big thing for all of us, everybody wants to work for him. He has given me belief and, as a player, you always need your manager to believe in you." Despite many stating that the FA Cup has lost some of its significance over the years the 21-year-old is adamant that the competition is still held in high regard abroad. "My family is all coming to watch me. It is a proud day for me and a proud day for them," he explained. "The FA Cup is big all over the world and even though we are not English we know the history and importance of it."
