Everton are hoping midfielder Marouane Fellaini will be fit to return from an ankle injury during pre-season training.[LNB] The Belgium international is recovering from an ankle setback which was expected to keep him out until September.[LNB]But assistant manager Steve Round has confirmed that Fellaini's rehabilitation is ahead of schedule.[LNB]"We wouldn't like to put any definite timeframe on it for him because these things can always take little twists and turns," Round told the club's official website. "We are hoping he will become available in full training at some stage during pre-season."[LNB]Fellaini suffered the injury in a tackle by Liverpool's Sotirios Kyrgiakos during February's Merseyside derby.[LNB]The 22-year-old then needed ankle surgery, and Round has hailed Fellaini's determination to regain full fitness quicker than anticipated.[LNB]"It was a really nasty injury that he got but he is doing exceptionally well," he added.[LNB]"He has kept himself remarkably fit. He looks lean and the one thing with Felli is he's got great motivation.[LNB]"He wants to be around the club every day, he wants to be training and he wants to be out there. I am sure it won't be too long before he is bouncing back."
