FA Cup third round: Cheltenham play host to Everton in Monday night's tie

Everton manager David Moyes will try to freshen up his side for Monday's FA Cup third-round tie at League Two club Cheltenham. Left-back Leighton Baines could be in line for a rest as Bryan Oviedo may be given a run out while midfielders Thomas Hitzlsperger and Ross Barkley may come into contention for a start. Forward Kevin Mirallas and defender Seamus Coleman (both hamstring) are still sidelined, as are Tony Hibbert (calf) and Darron Gibson (thigh). Moyes told the club's official website: "We want to go as far as we can in the FA Cup and we will be doing everything we can to get through. We will not underestimate Cheltenham and we will have to go there and do a really good job if we want to get into the next round. "Cheltenham have done very well at home and they are a decent side. I watched them against Hereford in the replay and they are going well in their division. They have got a wee bit of confidence because they are playing well in their league. "Our players have to play - that's what they're here for. Otherwise, they'll be thrust into the really big games and people have to be ready. We'll have a look at it and see what we plan to do in terms of selection." Cheltenham boss Mark Yates has a slight injury concern over Darren Carter ahead of the visit of Everton. The former West Brom midfielder will be assessed in the build-up to the televised clash after being substituted just after half-time in the 1-0 defeat at Oxford on New Year's Day having picked up a facial injury. A number of the Robins squad also sustained knocks against the U's but Yates is not too worried. "I hope I'll have a fully-fit squad available," he said. "Darren Carter is the one who is our main concern as we speak but apart from that I should have a fully-fit squad. "We picked up a couple of knocks and we'll see how they are. "We haven't got too many decisions to make but we have a decent set of lads, a decent set of players and hopefully we'll be as good as we can be on Monday night."
