Everybody hates Kris.
As in Boyd not Rock. And it seems that not everybody hates him as Everton are rumoured to be sniffing around the Gers goal machine. But he does appear to be one of those players that scores a shit-load of goals but is still roundly disliked by large sections of the crowd. A bit like Jermaine Beckford! But you really can't argue with Boyd's goalscoring record having hit 101 goals in 143 games for Rangers. And - before anyone starts on the 'yeah-but-it's-Scotland-and-my-Nan-could-score-in-Scotland' (she probably did and that's how you're here you beaut) - he's also scored 7 goals in 16 appearances for Scotland. Ok, so they were against Bulgaria, Faroe Islands, Georgia, South Africa and Lituania but you can only score against what's put in front of you! It seems that Boyd's biggest problem - and the reason people don't seem to like him - is down to his workrate. Boyd's not one of these strikers that will run his legs off all game, he'll just goal-hang and score. Which, in my opinion, is fine for a striker - unless you actually want Emile Heskey! In other striker-based news, James Vaughan could be on his way to Celtic. The Everton youngster - we're going to still be writing that when he's 27 - spent the back end of last season on loan at Leicester and it's believed that Celtic want to take him to Parkhead on a similar deal. And we won't be signing Martin Petrov, too old, too expensive and too injury prone apparently! Oh well...
