Everton's Steven Pienaar close to new deal

Pienaar is entering the final year of his contract at Goodison Park and has attracted the interest of the Toffees' rivals, with Tottenham most recently linked with a move for the South Africa international. [LNB]But the 28-year-old, who was Everton's player of the year last season, has said he would like to sign a new contract if terms can be agreed.
