Everton v Liverpool Live

The first Merseyside derby of the season will be played on Sunday afternoon with both Everton and Liverpool hoping for a change in fortunes. The Reds are a staggering 13 points behind leaders Chelsea after just 13 games of the campaign and manager Rafael Benitez has to be on borrowed time with the Anfield faithful yearning for a first Premier League crown.Liverpool have won just one of their last six Premier League games - a 2-0 home success against bitter rivals Manchester United - and have failed to pick up three points against Fulham, Birmingham City and Manchester City, who held them to a 2-2 draw last weekend. They could once again be without Fernando Torres as the Spaniard struggles to shake off his groin injury.Albert Riera (hamstring) could also miss out but Daniel Agger, who suffered a head injury last weekend, could make a return to the back-line.Toffees boss David Moyes has also not had it easy this season, with a huge injury list to deal with.To make matters worse, his inspirational captain Phil Neville, who has been missing with a knee injury since the start of September, has had a massive setback this week.He had been pencilled in for a return in the 212th Merseyside derby but he has had minor surgery to clear up an existing problem and definitely misses out.Knee injuries are the Toffees' curse this term, with James Vaughan, Victor Anichebe, Steven Pienaar, Phil Jagielka and Mikel Arteta all suffering from similar problems while Leon Osman (ankle) could also miss out on Sunday. With Benitez under pressure, Moyes is desperate for his side to improve on a dismal midweek showing which saw them lose 3-2 at Hull City after falling three goals behind within the opening half-hour.He told the club's official website after that reverse: "The performance was shocking and we all take responsibility for it. I've seen a few poor performances since I've been here but that will be up there with the worst of them."We could be dragged into a relegation fight - particularly because of the injuries and individual performances."
