Published: 08 Sep 2010 - 15:29:34

The 22-year-old will go straight into the Crystal Palace squad for Saturday's Championship clash at Reading. Vaughan has struggled to command a first-team place at Goodison Park after being hampered by injuries since his breakthrough five years ago.  Related ArticlesYobo seals Fenerbahce switchStoke complete Gudjohnsen dealTottenham complete Van der Vaart signingManchester City propped up transfer marketBlackburn target Popov denied work permitSport on televisionThe Everton Academy product, who has been troubled by shoulder and knee problems in recent years, spent time on loan with Derby and Leicester last season. Vaughan made his mark when he became the Premier League's youngest goalscorer with a strike against Palace at the age of 16 years 271 days in 2005. Finding himself behind the likes of Louis Saha and Jermaine Beckford in the pecking order, he was linked with new Barclays Premier League side Blackpool over the summer but no move materialised. Although the official transfer window has closed, Football League clubs can sign players on an emergency loan for a maximum of 93 days.
