It is understood that Neill has been keen on the move and, given his age, and the length of his contract it is believed that both the player and club accept it is a good deal for them. It also frees up money for Moyes to re-invest for other transfer targets this month. The Turks already have Neill's fellow Australian Harry Kewell in their squad. West Ham had attempted to keep Neill, who was their club captain, and is also captain of the Australian national team and hopes to play in this summer's World Cup Finals, but they refused to meet his wage demands. Galatasary are also thought to be interested in the Russian striker Roman Pavyluchenko who is desperate to leave Tottenham Hotspur, and has been told he can go, but are not prepared so far to meet the asking price. It is understood they may now turn to Middlesbrough's Mido instead, who is currently on loan.
