Everton want to sign Jo on permanent deal from Manchester City

Jo is currently on loan until the end of the season, having failed to settle at Eastlands.[LNB]The Brazilian, 21, was a long-term target for Moyes during his time at CSKA Moscow, but was never likely to move to Merseyside once it became clear City were willing to pay £18 million.[LNB]However, after just one Premier League goal for City, Moyes has him now, in the short-term at least, and Everton can only benefit from Jo's desire to prove himself in the Premier League.[LNB]His impact at Everton so far has been superb, scoring two goals on his debut against Bolton as Moyes' men won 3-0.[LNB]The forward said: "It's really good that the manager has that trust and will give you that chance. Players always feel confident with that trust in them. I probably do have a point to prove to people over here because they have not seen anything like the best of me."[LNB]Despite his recent good form, though, Jo has some way to go before he genuinely convinces in English football and, as such, should City be willing to sell, they will be unable to recoup their original £18m outlay.[LNB]Reports suggest Everton are willing to pay £9m when the summer transfer window opens.[LNB]
