Everton v West Ham United Live

Gianfranco Zola's West Ham United travel north to Merseyside in desperate need of points with the Hammers dangling perilously close to the drop zone. However, coming away from Goodison Park with any kind of points will prove yet another big challenge for the east Londoners. The Toffees have won their last seven league games at home, conceding just three goals in the process and never shipping more than one in a game during this run. While Zola and company try to dodge the drop, David Moyes' men are chasing a Europa League spot and the Toffeeman have been in good form recently, losing just twice in their last 18 Premier League matches, both away from home. A key factor in their recent revival has been the return of their Spanish midfielder Mikel Arteta. With the gifted schemer in the side, they have won 67 per cent of their league games as opposed to just 30 per cent when he has been missing. The Hammers season, on the other hand, is in crisis. They have lost their last six games in a row and have not won away from home since the opening day of the season when they defeated Wolves 2-0 at Molineux. Zola has been under intense pressure following the Hammers recent struggles but he has committed himself to the fight for survival and is optimistic of a result at Goodison. Zola said: "We will go to Everton determined to get a result. People might not expect us to get something from the match but we will be positive. No one should write us off. "Although we are in a serious position we have time to sort things out and be in control of our destiny at the end of the season." "I know the fans will once again get behind us starting with Everton and we will give everything to reward their support. They have been brilliant and we owe them." Despite the chase for European berths heating up, Everton's Tim Cahill, in time-honoured tradition, is taking it just one game at a time. Cahill said: "I don't worry about Liverpool, what we're doing is the thing to concentrate on. We've got a big game against West Ham coming up, probably one of the biggest of the season. "We know how important it is. We want to exploit their poor form and not kick-start their season again. We want to try and do something special at the end of the season." West Ham's season has been blighted by injuries and there are doubts over a number of players for this game with James Tomkins, Kieron Dyer, Jack Collison and Herita Ilunga all out with niggles. Everton have few injury concerns with Marouane Fellaini and Victor Anichebe the only absentees.
