Everton turn to Steven Taylor as Manchester City close in on Joleon Lescott

Moyes, who is still determined to hang on to Lescott if at all possible, has turned to Taylor after his attempts to sign Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos fell through earlier in the summer. [LNB]The Everton manager turned down a written transfer request from Lescott after also snubbing two bids from City, the last of which was in the region of £18 million.
