Back in action: Everton striker Louis Saha[LNB]Louis Saha has endured an injury-plagued career, the Everton striker never seeming to fulfil his true potential due to the litany of knocks, strains and tears suffered by his prone body. [LNB]But it seems Saha has had enough. The France international is so fed up of missing games for his country that he has resorted to an ancient - but bloodcurdling - therapy in his latest bid to cure a knee ailment.[LNB]Saha, who came off the bench in the second half during the Toffees' 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa last weekend, revealed he applied leeches to the injured area. And he insists that he is reaping the benefits of the blood-suckers.[LNB]'How did I treat my swollen knees?  You're never going to believe how I treated my swollen knees. I went to visit my grandparents, who live in Guadeloupe, and I put leeches on my knees,' said Saha.[LNB]'Since then I have had a knee that is not normal, but given what happened before to my ligaments I have to accept it. It swells up less, and I feel fine now. [LNB]'I'm well prepared both mentally and physically. I have the legs and hunger of a 20-year-old. [LNB]France get their Euro 2012 qualifying Group D campaign underway against Belarus on Friday night desperate to put their dismal World Cup behind them. [LNB] Call up: Saha (right) has joined up with new France coach Laurent Blanc (left)[LNB]Saha was forced to sit out the summer in South Africa, which may be no bad thing with memories of player mutiny still raw. The ex-Manchester United striker is in the squad for Friday's clash and is desperate to feature again for Les Bleus.[LNB]He added: 'My luck has been terrible in the past. I would be fine for six months, then the day the France squad would be announced I'd get injured.[LNB] 'It has been hard to take. I would not wish a similar fate on anyone, and I have struggled to overcome these setbacks.'
