Everton plan to put the fizz back into Vaughan with Championship loan deal

James Vaughan has been given official approval to try and revive his injury-disrupted Everton career by joining a Coca Cola Championship club on loan. Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate tried to sign Vaughan before the transfer deadline and may now make another enquiry, under the emergency loan system, after being alerted to the England under-21 striker's availability. 'We think it would benefit James to get some games under his belt,' said Everton manager David Moyes, following Vaughan's recovery from his latest knee operation. 'We haven't been able to provide that for him, and he has missed a lot of football, so we wouldn't be opposed to letting him go out on loan.'
