Everton in battle to sign out-of-contract Russia ace Ryazantsev

Everton face competition from Spartak Moscow in the race to sign Russia midfielder Alexander Ryazantsev.[LNB]The 23-year-old star of Rubin Kazan's win against Barcelona in the Nou Camp last week is out of contract in December and has been linked with a January move to Goodison Park.[LNB]Russian champions Rubin are desperate to tie Ryazantsev to a new deal, but Spartak believe they can tempt the former Torpedo Moscow player back to his home town.[LNB] Star of the show: Alexander Ryazantsev inspired Rubin Kazan's unexpected win over Barcelona and is a January target for Everton[LNB] The player's agent Alexey Safonov says Ryazantsev is keeping his options open.[LNB]'We shall take a decision after the last match of the season,' said Safonov.
