Everton Host Man Utd In Curtain Raiser

Everton will kick-off the 2012/13 Premier League campaign with an unforgiving home fixture against last season's runners up Manchester United.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s side will be looking for revenge over the blues after April’s dramatic 4-4 draw at Old Trafford, a result that the Scot claimed cost his team the title.

The first Merseyside derby of the season will take place at Goodison Park on 27th October, with the Toffees set to make to short trip across Stanley Park in the reverse fixture on 4th May.

Boxing Day sees David Moyes’ side take on Wigan Athletic and New Year’s Eve will no doubt be a quiet one as a daunting away tie against Newcastle United will follow the next day.

Everton’s final home game of the season will take place against newly promoted West Ham on 12th May followed by a trip to the Capital to finish the campaign on 19th May, taking on European Champions Chelsea.
