Steven Pienaar [LNB]EVERTON are ready to make Steven Pienaar one of the club's highest paid players in a bid to head off interest from Tottenham.[LNB]But the Blues fear that the South African international will put off a decision on his future until after the World Cup finals.[LNB]Pienaar has just one year remaining on his present Everton deal and is looking for much improved terms.[LNB]The Blues are prepared to give the midfielder parity with some of the club's top earners, but a number of meetings between club officials and the player and his representatives have already proved inconclusive.[LNB]Weekend reports claimed that Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has already enquired about the 28-year-old, with a £14million price tag reported.[LNB]Everton say they have had no formal contact from Spurs, but if no agreement is reached before the World Cup finals the midfielder's talents would be on display to a global audience.[LNB]Pienaar has been an unqualified success since his move from Borussia Dortmund in 2007.
