Everton FC letters: Blues must show more consistent performances over 90 minutes

03 February 2010 00:00
IF Everton are going to continue to progress over the next few seasons, not only have we got to be more consistent in producing 90 minute performances but we badly need at least one, or preferably two, forwards with genuine pace.[LNB]These players would put pressure on opposing defences without the need for multi-pass midfield build-ups.[LNB]Although Andy Johnson ended up being the proverbial headless chicken, in his early days with us he completely changed the way we attacked teams.[LNB]blue1961[LNB]I AM happy for Landon Donovan and for Everton.[LNB]David Moyes picked up Donovan just as he was hitting his peak as a player - mostly mentally.[LNB]You see no more tentativeness out of Donovan like the old days. He's not afraid to succeed.[LNB]D-Wreck[LNB]ON current form I wouldn't be settling for a draw against Liverpool in the derby on Saturday.[LNB]The Reds are not having the best time of it lately, and you get the feeling that all the talk about Rafa Benitez could be unsettling a few people.[LNB]We're on a good run and this game is there for the taking.[LNB]David Moyes has got to approach this one positively. Hopefully it will be a cracker. I predict 2-0 to the Blues.[LNB]OnceABlue1878
