Everton FC fans’ passion excites USA star Landon Donovan
EVERTON new boy Landon Donovan is relishing the chance to make his home debut in Saturday's Premier League clash with in-form Manchester City.[LNB]The 27-year-old enjoyed a promising start to his 10-week stay with the Blues when he impressed in last weekend's 2-2 draw at Arsenal.[LNB]Now the American international can't wait to run out at Goodison Park for the first time.[LNB]'I am very excited about playing at Goodison,' Donovan said.[LNB]'I am hoping I get my home debut this weekend. Sitting in the stands at the Carlisle game made me want to play.[LNB]'Seeing how the fans respond and seeing their passion, I loved that.[LNB]'Obviously you play for yourself but you also want to play for them and show them something.[LNB]'It is a big game against City and they are a team that are playing very well but we are playing well too so it will be an exciting match.'[LNB]Donovan admits he's been blown away by the reception he has received from Blues supporters.[LNB]When he took corners in front of the away end at the Emirates Stadium he was greeted with chants of 'USA'.
