Everton FC defender Phil Jagielka determined to take his England chance

PHIL JAGIELKA is determined to grasp his chance to shine after being named in the England squad for Wednesday night's friendly against Hungary at Wembley.[LNB]The Everton centre-back was recalled by manager Fabio Capello after being overlooked for the World Cup finals in South Africa.[LNB]Jagielka, who has impressed for the Blues in pre-season, hasn't played for England since the World Cup qualifier against Ukraine in April 2009 but has high hopes of earning his fourth cap.[LNB]'I'm really happy to have been called up,' Jagielka said. 'It is a privilege to have the chance to represent your country and I'm looking forward to getting together with the rest of the lads.[LNB] 'Pre-season has gone well and I'm feeling in good condition. There is already a lot of excitement about the new season and this call-up is the icing on the cake for me.[LNB]'I will just be looking to make a good impression.'[LNB]Meanwhile, Everton boss David Moyes admitted Everton got what they deserved in Saturday's 2-0 friendly defeat to Wolfsburg.[LNB]'It wasn't good in the first half,' Moyes said.
