Everton defender Ramiro Funes Mori has undergone successful knee surgery.
The centre-back tore a meniscus playing for Argentina in their 2-0 World Cup qualifying victory over Bolivia last week.
Following a second opinion on Monday it was decided the best option for the 26-year-old was to have an operation to fix the damage, which means he will now miss the remainder of the season.
"Good morning!!! The surgery was successful. Shout out to everyone," Funes Mori Tweeted from his hospital bed post-operation.
