Everton boss Moyes makes move for Peter Crouch

Everton have made a shock move for England international forward Peter Crouch, with David Moyes rumoured to have been in a meeting with Crouch earlier this week.

The Stoke City forward could be available for around £8million, about £2million less than what Stoke paid for Crouch last summer.

David Moyes is desperate to recruit new players for Everton ahead of the new season, with Crouch being an option to provide competition for former Rangers forwards Nikica Jelavic and Steven Naismith.

The Everton boss is rumoured to have met with Crouch in Glasgow earlier this week, according to a number of Twitter sources and Crouch is likely to be keen on a deal.

The 31-year-old is a former Liverpool player and is married to Merseyside born model Abbey Clancy.
