Everton will pay Leeds £4m for teenage sensation Fabian Delph having beaten a host of Premier League clubs to his signature. The 19-year-old England under-21 midfielder helped take Leeds to the League One play-offs and said he wanted to stay at Elland Road if they gained promotion. But following their failure to get past Millwall in the semi-finals, Delph has opted to join the Jermain Beckford out of the club. Beckford, top scorer in the Football League last season with 34 goals, rejected a new contract, and is also expected to join a Premier League club. According to reports in The Mirror, Everton boss David Moyes has swooped for Delph after watching him six times last term and sees him as a key man to bring honours to Goodison Park as they bid to break into the top four. Premier League champions Manchester United, Fulham and Sunderland had all expressed interest in the Football League's Young Player of the Year who scored six goals in 44 appearances for Leeds. Delph was also Leeds Young Player of the Season, won the Goal of the Season for his strike against Brighton and was voted Player's Player of the Season.
