[LNB]David Moyes wants another trip to Wembley as much as any Everton fan but he is not prepared to compromise his principles. [LNB]Even with a shortage of available strikers and with vivid recollections of embarrassing FA Cup defeats by Shrewsbury and Oldham, the Goodison manager left out his on-loan Brazilian striker Jo. [LNB]Jo, who joined Everton on loan from Manchester City a year ago, misguidedly flew home at Christmas without Moyes' permission and although he returned in time for this tie he was suspended immediately. [LNB]Everton needed a couple of late goals to progress, the first fromTim Cahill and then an injury-time penalty from Leighton Baines. Nothing has changed regarding Jo,' said Moyes. 'We have got a greatresult today but Carlisle did their supporters proud. They made thingsdifficult for us. [LNB]'The bonus was getting nearly 90 minutes out of Phil Neville and James Vaughan because they have hardly played this season.' [LNB]Vaughan was gifted a goal by Adam Clayton's suicidal back pass after12 minutes. Clayton made amends by setting up the equaliser for KevanHurst six minutes later but Everton wrapped up the tie in the last nineminutes.[LNB][LNB][LNB] EVERTON FC: All the latest news from across the webEverton star Jo faces £70,000 fine after flying back to Brazil without permissionJANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW 2010: All the moves and gossip for every Premier League club[LNB] [LNB]
