Everton 2 Liverpool 2: Suarez 'dive' was Scouse wit, says Brendan Rodgers

Brendan Rodgers cracked a smile at the antics of Luis Suarez, who celebrated Liverpool’s first goal by ‘diving’ in front of the Everton dugout, a response to Moyes’ claims that the Uruguayan’s behaviour would ‘drive supporters away from the game’.

“It is called ‘Scouse wit’,� said Rodgers, who also rejected claims Suarez may have been red-carded for a foul on Sylvain Distin early in the second half, and offered to discuss Everton captain’s Phil Neville booking for ‘simulation’.

“Don’t start me,â€� was his response.
