Everton 2 Liverpool 2: Suarez 'dive' was Scouse wit, says Brendan Rodgers

Brendan Rodgers cracked a smile at the antics of Luis Suarez, who celebrated Liverpool’s first goal by ‘diving’ in front of the Everton dugout, a response to Moyes’ claims that the Uruguayan’s behaviour would ‘drive supporters away from the game’.

“It is called ‘Scouse wit’,” said Rodgers, who also rejected claims Suarez may have been red-carded for a foul on Sylvain Distin early in the second half, and offered to discuss Everton captain’s Phil Neville booking for ‘simulation’.

“Don’t start me,” was his response.
