ESPN have secured the rights to broadcast Europa League matches in Britain. The network, who picked up the Premier League package that had originally been Setanta’s, have agreed a three-year deal to show the revamped UEFA Cup. Everton and Fulham are among the 48 clubs in the group stages along with the likes of Celtic, Roma, Lazio, Valencia, Werder Bremen and Ajax. Matches start a fortnight tomorrow. ESPN, part of the Disney organisation, will be host broadcaster for live home matches featuring British clubs that they select.
